Providing valuable service means much more than low price; it means providing our long distance customers with a level of service that always meets or exceeds their expectations. That's why Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative and the other electric cooperatives of Southern Illinois have entered into a new partnership for long distance and other services with TransWorld Network.
TransWorld Network (TWN) is a service oriented organization that partners with over 100 electric cooperatives across the country to provide long distance, toll-free and calling cards at a substantially lower rate than we are able to offer alone. In addition, they offer several billing and payment options, including automatic bank withdrawal and credit card billing. A summary of our new per minute rates is as follows:
| Service | TransWorld Network |
|---|---|
| Inter Calling | 4.9 cpm |
| Intra Calling | 4.5 cpm |
| Calling Card | 9.5 cpm |
| Toll Free Inter | 4.9 cpm |
| Toll Free Intra | 4.5 cpm |
| Ebill | 4.5 cpm intra/inter |
| Moving Rebate | $5.00 on first invoice |
In addition, we still offer a toll free number without any additional monthly charge. Also, electric cooperative members and other long distance customers who prefer to receive an electronic bill instead of a monthly paper invoice, may select an E-Bill option with credit card payment which reduces the state-to-state rate to 4.5 cents per minute.
If you are tired of paying too much for long distance service, just give us a call at 1-800-807-1837 and a customer service representative will assist you in switching to our TWN long distance program.

Upon receipt of the welcome packet, it is suggested that you call your previous carrier and ensure your account is completely closed out.

- Yes, your local phone company may charge you a switching fee (typically $8.00-$10.00) to change your Intralata and Interlata to TWN. Please pay your local phone company and send TWN a copy of that bill. TWN will credit your long distance account for the same amount. Breach of contract costs does not apply.
